The cotton picker is agricultural machinery used for mechanized cotton harvesting, and is a high-end product in the field of agricultural machinery. Domestic cotton pickers have developed rapidly since their start in 2019; by 2023 the mechanized harvesting rate of Xinjiang cotton reached over 85%, with domestic models holding a market share of over 80% and priced at only two-thirds of imported products. Domestic brands represented by Boshiran and Tian’e have developed three-row and six-row self-propelled cotton pickers, with a maximum daily harvesting capacity of 500 mu and a picking cleanliness rate raised to 97%. In 2025, Boshiran Intelligent Agricultural Machinery Company showcased a cotton picker equipped with an intelligent monitoring system and Beidou navigation at the Xinjiang (Kashgar) · Central Asia Agricultural Machinery and Agricultural Materials Expo, building a “two-hour after-sales service circle” across Xinjiang.
